Apartments Near Casa Batllo
On Passeing de Gracia, one of the main avenues in Barcelona and home to an important business and shopping area of the city, is being positioned the building Casa Batllo, which along with La Pedrera building, was designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. The outside facade looks as if it was formed from bones and skulls, while the colors and shapes were inspired from the marine life and especially the color of the natural coral. The building was designed for a wealthy aristocrat and its two lower floors were used by his family, while the rest were rented as apartments. Casa Batllo is a work of art and is thus worth to be visited to enjoy the attention to the details that Gaudi spent. Casa Batllo is easily approachable from most of the hotel apartments Barcelona features.-
