Apartments Near Warsaw Zoo
One of the favorite spots for children in the capital of Poland is the Warsaw Zoological Garden. A scientific zoo today, the Warsaw Zoo was officially founded back in year 1928, but its roots could be found in the 17th century, when it comprised of private menageries that were open to visitors. Today the Warsaw Zoo has an area of hundred acres and is visited by more than half a million travelers. Positioned in the downtown part of the city and easily accessible from all hotel apartments Warsaw features, the Warsaw Zoo is part of Praga borough and is home to more than 5000 animals of 500 species. An interesting fact that should be mentioned about the Warsaw Zoo, is that during the Second World War the director of the zoo and his wife saved more than two hundred Jews from the Holocaust.
